Internet Explorer (IE) security flaw

Hello All,

This is a head up for those who use Internet Explorer as their default web-browser.

There is currently a security hole within IE that will potentially allow crackers to hijack your computer or to trick you into obtaining passwords or other personnel details.

This has been confirmed to exist in IE 7. Other version of IE are potentially at risk including the new IE 8 Beta 2.

It now has been confirmed that this bug is present in ALL versions of IE.

Also on that site are some suggested work around for the problems.

Two suggestion:

1. Do the work around suggested in the advisory.

or

2. Use a different web-browser. This one is probably will be the easier way to go if you are not too comfortable in changing computer settings.

A timely reminder:

1. Never give out your password to anyone.

2. Don't use the same password. Always use a different password for each log in.

3. Don't use easier to guess passwords. For example, don't used relative names, your family names, birthdays. etc. Here is an example of a good password given within quotes: "G%d81La@!D4K".

4. Make sure that your anti-virus software are up to date.

5. Have proper firewall system in place.
